Every weekend there’s a festival in Brew City, some of which are held at the Henry Maier Festival Park (Summerfest grounds) and some that simply bust out on blocked-off streets or parks. There are pros and cons to both, but most people usually prefer one over the other. So, what’s your vote: big or small Brew City festivals?

The bigger the better. I love Summerfest and the ethnic festivals the best -- particularly the ethnic festivals that draw the largest crowds like Festa Italiana -- because I love the excitement, the food and musical offerings and the proximity to the lake. The large festivals really inspire Milwaukee pride and they are more fun.

Good things come in small festivals. I much prefer the mellower summer festivals. Give me South Shore Frolics over Summerfest any day. I am not into large crowds or the chaos of the big gigs and would much prefer to hang out in a scene where people are less focused on drinking. Plus, the food and music are usually better quality and more affordable at the smaller fests.
