On Sept. 20, the East Side Business Improvement District launches its second annual Tomato Romp, which coincides with a Bloody Mary competition. Both events take place in and around the Beans and Barley parking lot.

The first 200 people to register at the East Side Open Market can participate in the Tomato Romp caged battle, starting in the mid-afternoon.

In her article about this event, OnMilwaukee.com reporter Maureen Post referred to it as a "pulpy, seedy throw down."
