With a growing budget gap, Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker is considering a plan to put parking meters at popular Lakefront attractions like McKinley Marina, Veterans Park and Bradford Beach in an effort to increase revenue.

What do you think of this idea? Does it make sense, considering the economic realities facing the county, or is it another shot against taxpayers who are being asked to once again foot the bill for basic qualities of life?

Sound off, Milwaukee!

Yes, parking meters on the Lakefront are a smart idea: The parks budget has taken a beating over the years and this is a reasonable way to tap into a logical stream of revenue. An extra buck or two to park my car isn't that big of deal.

No way! Leave the Lakefront alone: We pay for the parks through our taxes, and those are high enough as it is. We shouldn't have to pay additionally to use the public parks.
