Paul and Liz Alexander of The 024 Taproom in Grafton will host the first of what they hope will become the annual St. Patrick's Day Beerfest on Sunday, March 17.

The event, which will feature live music, food and, of course, beer, will take place from 2 until 5 p.m. in the Arts Mill parking lot, 1300 14th Ave., in Downtown Grafton.

Proceeds from the event will benefit St. Baldrick's Foundation, which supports Childhood cancer research.

“This the 10-year anniversary of me being cancer-free,” says Paul Alexander, “and every year I have shaved my head for the foundation. This year we going to party!”

In addition to an on-site pig roast and sides from M&M Eats, The Tom Mahan Band will play live.

Tickets – which can be reserved here – are $100 and include lunch and unlimited beer samples from what Alexander calls, “12 of my favorite breweries, including  local favorites Amorphic, 1840 and Eagle Park.”

The other participating breweries include Revolution, Trillium, Pipeworks, Drekker, Brewing Projekt, Toppling Goliath, More, O'so and Sullivan’s.

The 024 Taproom – the name of which is a nod to Grafton’s ZIP code – is located at 1300 14th Ave.
