Milwaukee's Dusty Medical Records has reached a milestone.

This Saturday's record release party at Club Garibaldi not only celebrates the debut 7-inch from Sticks N Stones, a trio of punk vets featuring current and former members of Catholic Boys, Sugar Stems, The Flips, Tuff Bananas, The Tears and the Teenage Rejects. But it also recognizes the local label's 20th release, no small feat for an indie these days.

What else?

Milwaukee's Drug Dragons kickstart the night at 9 p.m. with dark, bad-ass rock 'n' roll, followed by Chicago's White Mystery (fresh off the heals of its string of SXSW gigs) and Other Minds.

The Get Drunk DJs will be there to get you through the downtime between sets.

Julie Lawrence Special to OnMilwaukee.com

OnMilwaukee.com staff writer Julie Lawrence grew up in Wauwatosa and has lived her whole life in the Milwaukee area.

As any “word nerd” can attest, you never know when inspiration will strike, so from a very early age Julie has rarely been seen sans pen and little notebook. At the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee it seemed only natural that she major in journalism. When OnMilwaukee.com offered her an avenue to combine her writing and the city she knows and loves in late 2004, she knew it was meant to be. Around the office, she answers to a plethora of nicknames, including “Lar,” (short for “Larry,” which is short for “Lawrence”) as well as the mysteriously-sourced “Bill Murray.”
