Gallery Night is tonight and if you're making a mental list of spots to swing by, considering adding the second floor of the Hide House, 2625 S. Greeley St.

From 6 to 10 p.m. Sue Lawton will display illustrations from her book,"The Circus and the Cyclone," a piece of historical fiction about the New Richmond tornado of 1899.

"The images are acrylic ink and watercolor in the style of circus posters and story book illustrations from the time period," says Lawton.

The book is a work in progress, and Lawton hopes to publish it by raising money through Kickstarter.com.

"There will also be artworks by Jason Krukowski – my studio partner – as well as Heather Chapa, Christopher MacDonald, Jackie Steffen and Brittney Biggs, along with live music by The Vitrolum Republic."

Molly Snyder started writing and publishing her work at the age 10, when her community newspaper printed her poem, "The Unicorn.” Since then, she's expanded beyond the subject of mythical creatures and written in many different mediums but, nearest and dearest to her heart, thousands of articles for OnMilwaukee.

Molly is a regular contributor to FOX6 News and numerous radio stations as well as the co-host of "Dandelions: A Podcast For Women.” She's received five Milwaukee Press Club Awards, served as the Pfister Narrator and is the Wisconsin State Fair’s Celebrity Cream Puff Eating Champion of 2019.
