There’s something new launching this May at Old World Wisconsin, W372 S9727 Hwy 67.
On five Fridays throughout the summer guests are invited to partake in one of Wisconsin’s fondest traditions – the Friday night fish fry – while enjoying live music in the rust atmosphere of the historic octagonal Clausing Barn.
Each fish fry includes freshly beer-battered fish with lemon and tartar sauce; mixed green salad with vinaigrette; clam chowder; a choice of baked potato or German potato salad; coleslaw, rye bread and a seasonal dessert. Meals also include one complimentary Old Fashioned (guests can also choose from beer, wine or seltzer). Additional drinks will be available for purchase.
Old Fashioned fish fry nights will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the following dates:
- Friday, May 12 - with music from Smith & Binder jazz duo
- Friday, June 9 - with music from Smith & Binder jazz duo
- Friday, July 14 - with music from Sweet Sheiks
- Friday, August 11 - with music from Sweet Sheiks
- Friday, September 8 - with music from accordion player Mike Schneider
Tickets for the fish fry are $39 per person and can be purchased online. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to attend. Wisconsin Historical Society members receive a 10% discount. Both the Brewhouse and Clausing Barn are ADA-accessible.

In 2024, Lori was honored with a "Top 20 Women in Hospitality to Watch" award by the Wisconsin Restaurant Association.
When she’s not eating, photographing food, writing or planning for TV and radio spots, you’ll find Lori seeking out adventures with her husband Paul, traveling, cooking, reading, learning, snuggling with her cats and looking for ways to make a difference.
