The Fourth of July falls on a Summerfest day this year, which means we've got a bit of a conundrum: Do you have a big Independence Day party for all your friends, or do you party at the Big Gig? The answer: Why not both?

Indeed, thanks to Summerfest and Johnsonville's new "United We Fest" promo, you don't have to decide between celebrating Uncle Sam or Summerfest, as nine lucky winners will receive a free VIP Fourth of July party within the lakefront's biggest party.

Each of the nine free Independence Day shindigs will feature four hours in a private party VIP space complete with free food and three complimentary beverages per person – including Johnsonville brats, Molson Coors brews, soda and Saz's sides – for up to 50 guests. Your and your attendees will also earn free parking and admission for your red, white and Big Gig day.

So what do you have to do to potentially score this four-star Fourth of July day at the Big Gig? Just head over to this website and fill out the quick giveaway survey for a chance to win one of the nine stars-and-stripes-filled soirees – though act sooner than later, as the contest will only accept applicants through midnight on Sunday, June 16.

For more information on the United We Fest giveaway and its rules, head over to Summerfest's website – and for more info on who's going to be providing the soundtrack to your Fourth of July festivities down on the lakefront, check out the full Big Gig lineup right here.

And stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more Summerfest info – because we're somehow just a few weeks away from showtime!

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
