The Packers, as they have done in each of their previous four Super Bowl appearances, struck first. A 29-yard pass from Aaron Rodgers to Jordy Nelson capped off a nine-play, 80-yard drive.
On the Steelers' next series, Nick Collins intercepted Ben Roethlisberger's first down throw to Mike Wallace at the Pittsburgh 37, running it in for a touchdown.
The Packers defense has been good so far, but watching Rashard Mendenhall go up against Clay Matthews has been a little disconcerting so far. Mendenhall ran for over 1,200 yards this year. The Packers need to be stronger against the run.
Key play: Collins' interception for a touchdown was big, but James Starks' seven-yard run on 3rd and inches kept the drive going and while the end result was a touchdown, it also allowed Rodgers' to get into a rhythm.
Key stats: Rodgers -- 6-10, 87 yards, TD; Roethlisberger -- 4-of-8, 20 yards, INT. Starks -- 5 carries, 21 yards; Mendenhall -- 5 carries, 33 yards.
