OnMilwaukee.com managing editor Bobby Tanzilo, reads from his newly published "The Milwaukee Police Station Bomb of 1917" tonight at 7 at Boswell Book Co., 2559 N. Downer Ave.
The book tells the story of what is believed to be the largest number of U.S. police officers killed in a single incident until the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
First published in Italy, the English-language edition is published by The History Press, and retails for $19.99. It looks at the struggle within Milwaukee's Italian community between anarchist and Protestant factions that led to the bomb attack, and brought national attention to Milwaukee.
The event is free and open to all.
