I can't say I was incredibly surprised to read the tip that come in today that Telluride, 2153-55 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., is for sale. The bar has been infrequently open over the last year or so, and even when it was, it wasn't really packing them in.

I wrote about this place when it opened, as it promised to be the neighborhood's first "eco bar," but frankly, I'm not entirely sure why it deserved that name -- it never felt especially green to me. As much as I wanted Telluride to succeed, the tavern never really caught on or built an identity of its own.

That said, it's a decent building with a huge outdoor patio -- and it looked much better than the previous bar in its place, Chasers.

So, if you have about $300,000 burning a hole in your pocket and think you can do better, here's a real estate listing with your name for it.
