Announced last December, the new Third Space Brewing Innovation Brewhouse began its soft opening period this weekend in a new mixed-use development at N71 W13040 W. Appleton Ave., in Menomonee Falls, the site of the old Trysting Place Pub.

The soft opening was announced with a last-minute post on social media Friday.

In another post, co-founder Andy Gehl wrote, "We’ve been working hard the past many months on a little project in Menomonee Falls and we are finally open. Come check it out and let us know what you think!

"We are in a bit of a soft opening period for the next few weeks with a limited food menu and service model but the beer and drinks are flowing and the soft opening food menu is on point."

The hours during the "soft opening" period are Wednesday-Friday 3-10 p.m., Saturday noon-10 p.m. and Sunday noon-7 p.m.

During this time there will be a limited menu available during limited hours (Wednesday-Saturday 4-9 p.m. and Sunday 3-7 p.m.), with the full menu rolling out in the next few months.

The roughly 5,000-square-foot venue, designed by Three Sixty, occupies a new structure designed by JLA Architects.

It includes a 112-seat indoor taproom with 16 tap lines and a pair of Czech Lukr side pull beer taps perfect for pilsner pours, plus a large covered outdoor patio and other outdoor areas with firepits. There is also a kitchen.

A newly built 10-barrel brewhouse, focused on innovation beers, will follow.

For much more on the brewhouse timing, the types of beer you can expect to be brewed there and more, read this interview with Third Space owners Gehl and Kevin Wright.
