The Historic Third Ward is celebrating the return of autumn, local businesses and the Milwaukee Public Market’s 15th anniversary with a new week-long initiative they’re calling the Third Ward Fall Crawl.

The Crawl, a collaboration between Milwaukee Public Market, Yelp Milwaukee, and Support Local MKE, will take place Oct. 19 through Oct. 24 and will include virtual and live events, plus special promotions at participating businesses. The week-long event will stand in for the usual Public Market Harvest Festival in 2020.

In person & virtual events

During the week, The MPM will  host a variety of in-person events, including a Packer’s cook-out with Foltz Family Market, an outdoor pie stand with On The Bus and an outdoor pumpkin carving event at the new Riverwalk Commons (just across the street from the market). Safety measures will be in place for all in-person events. Masks and temperature checks are required, and social distancing and capacity limits will be observed and enforced.

For those who would prefer, a variety of virtual events – from a build-your-own-poke class with FreshFin Poke to mat classes with Flying Squirrel Pilates and make-up tutorials with Urbaine Oasis Spa Boutique – will also be held in collaboration with Yelp Miilwaukee. Participation is free, but RSVP’s are requested for participants. In addition, some events require attendees to pick up accompanying kits/supplies prior to the classes.

Local deals

Throughout the week, 24 Third Ward businesses will also be offering seasonal deals and specials.

To redeem deals, participants simply mention the Third Ward Fall Crawl or show a screenshot of the special from social media stories posted by the participating organizations.
