Today is Times Square Pizzeria and Atomic Chocolate’s last day of operation at the Walker’s Point Plaza, 605 S. 1st St.

The restaurant, owned by Sean Henninger, is ceasing operations for the remainder of the summer to prepare to move into a space at South 2nd Street, at Pittsburgh, just north of Lucky Joe's Tiki Room.

The new location, which is expected to open this fall, will include a full bar and restaurant seating for up to 100 guests. The space will also accommodate a tasting room for Atomic Chocolates.

According to Henninger, the casual feel of the restaurant will remain; however he plans to expand the menu beyond pizza and calzones to include pasta and sandwiches.

The restaurant has been giving away free orders of fried eggplant with every pizza order for the past few days, and will observe a last day celebration all day today, or until the last of their food inventory runs out.
