Hot on the heels of announcing AJR for next summer's concert season, the BMO Harris Pavilion placed another show on its schedule – one without the year-long wait this time, hosting folk rock group Mt. Joy and bluegrass band Trampled By Turtles on Friday, Sept. 24.

Breaking out in 2017 and 2018 with the help of its self-titled debut album and the breakout hit "Silver Lining," Mt. Joy last performed in Milwaukee just before the COVID-19 pandemic, serving as the opening act for The Lumineers concert at Fiserv Forum on March 11.

They return to the road with their new sophomore album, "Rearrange Us," released last June. Meanwhile, Trampled By Turtles has served as a popular figure in the modern folksy bluegrass wave for almost two decades, starting with the Duluth band's 2004 debut album, "Songs from a Ghost Town," and continuing on with rollicking favorites like "Wait So Long."

Tickets for the tour stop will go on sale beginning Friday, April 16 at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.com

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for concert and live music updates this summer.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
