All of the Two Birds Event Groupproperties – Milwaukee Airwaves, The Ivy House, Filament and The Starling – feature lush botanical installations both indoors and out. Recently, the group upped their commitment to "going green," with myriad improvements. 

• Solar Energy – Two Birds has commissioned the local Milwaukee company, Sun Badger Solar, to enhance the full rooftop at The Ivy House this fall with solar panels. This will significantly reduce energy consumption and support their efforts for a greener event industry progression.

• Green technologies – Two Birds is committed to only using green technologies like LED lightbulbs, green-friendly cleaning products, energy-star certified appliances and more.

• Recycling – All cardboard boxes and bottles consumed at a Two Birds event will be recycled, keeping thousands of pounds out of landfills every year.

• Re-Use – Two Birds will try its best to give any one-time use items a second life, like donating floral arrangements from events to Petals for Patients.

• Working with like-minded vendors – Two Birds prioritizes working with other vendors who keep sustainability at the forefront of its business. 

"We have been making conscious choices to include more sustainable products into our business practices. From paper goods to cleaning products. We have continued to cultivate partnerships and support local organizations already doing great things in the green space," says Two Birds co-owner, Ramsey Renno.

The Ivy House/Two Birds team will participate in the Walker’s Point Association Fall clean up on Sunday, Oct. 9 from noon to 3 p.m. starting at Zocalo Food Park, 636 S. 6th St. All are welcome to attend.

Two Birds is a proud member of Milwaukee Riverkeeper, continually learning how to improve sustainability efforts. They are also certified by the City of Milwaukee as a Lake Friendly Business, having eliminated any single-use plastic from operations. And in their neighborhood, they’re sponsoring the community gardens at the Arts@Large Paliafito Eco-Arts Park.
