United Airlines has announced the addition of daily nonstop service between Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) beginning July 1.

The flights join an ever-growing list of additional airlines and routes being added at Mitchell.

United will also add nonstops to Portland, Maine; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Charleston, South Carolina; Savannah, Georgia; and Pensacola, Florida, beginning Memorial Day weekend.

“These new flights to Washington Dulles give Milwaukee travelers better access to Washington, DC and eastern Virginia as well as dozens of new domestic and international flight connections from United’s Dulles hub,” said Airport Director Brian Dranzik.

“It’s been many years since Dulles was served nonstop from MKE, and it’s great that United is continuing to expand from our hometown airport.”

The United flights will operate daily, leaving Milwaukee at 6:55 a.m. and landing at Dulles at 9:50 a.m. Return flights depart Dulles at 5:30 p.m. and arrive at MKE at 6:40 p.m.

Tickets for all flights are now on sale at united.com and on the airline’s mobile app.

"As we rebuild our schedule to meet customer demand this summer, we are adding service on routes we haven’t operated before like between Washington D.C. and Milwaukee starting in July,” said Ankit Gupta, vice president of domestic planning and scheduling at United.
