In May 2007, I reported that Vintage, a wine shop, opened at a former New World Wine location at 632 E. Ogden Ave. Today, I'm here to write that after only one year that shop, too, has closed.
Frankly, I think it just didn't differentiate itself enough from the East Pointe Pick ‘N Save and Metro Market shops in the neighborhood.
In other "wine" news, the space that New World Wine once occupied in the Historic Third Ward, 322 N. Water St., is available for lease. For a while, a marketing firm occupied the space, but it has since moved its operations to another floor of the building.
