These are some of the links we can't stop clicking on this week.

    1. Simpsons brew: Homer was right: Alcohol is "the cause of, and solution to, all of life’s problems." There’s no question what is in his stein at any time: Duff Beer. And now the fictitious brew is finally becoming a reality. [WSJ.com]
    2. Puppy protection: Residents of Tennessee can now take action if they see a dog in distress in a hot vehicle. But could it be abused by people just wanting to break into cars? [Vice.com]
    3. Safety or stalking: Public lighting makes everyone feel a bit safer. But at what does new technology become creepy? New projects and products could cross that border. [NYTimes.com]
    4. Payback time: Ashley Madison, a website that helps millions of married people cheat on their spouses, is the most recent site hackers have hit. The whole world could soon know all the philanders names and info – if Ashley Madison doesn't do what the hackers demand. [NPR.org]
    5. Imitation or flattery?: The Milwaukee Bucks have a brand new spankin' pretty logo. So does Elk Mound High School ... after their new one was pretty identical to the new Bucks one. You be the judge. [underconsideration.com]
    6. A risky ride: Tour de France competitors can reach speeds of 70mph riding down mountains. [WSJ.com]
    7. Mark Cuban’s mail box: NBA free agency was frenzy time for many markets.  Grantland’s Justin Halpern has some fun with what the Dallas Mavericks’ owner's email inbox may have looked like. [Grantland.com]
    8. Close call: An Australian surfer was uninjured after being attacked by a shark during the J-Bay competition Sunday in South Africa. [WashingtonPost.com] Fox News reporter Brian Kilmeade suggested after this attack that beach officials should be "clearing the waters" of sharks to prevent the predators from coming in contact with humans. 9.  Coming soon: Our Matt Mueller wasn’t the biggest fan of "Birdman: (Or The Virtue of Please Dear God Don’t Make Me Type That Dumb Parenthetical Again)," but does think director Alejandro G. Inarittu’s next pic, "The Revenant," looks pretty terrific. Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy in a cold, gritty Western is the opposite of a bad thing, plus cinematographer extraordinaire Emmanuel Lubezki goes for a rare Oscar three-peat shooting the film entirely in natural light. From this early look, it was worth it. [YouTube.com
    10. Wisconsin's water: Although LaCroix has been around forever – and the rest of the country believes it hails from the South of France – we know the truth. The water is named after the St. Croix River and La Crosse, Wisconsin. Drink up one of your state's best secrets in these tasty cocktails all summer long. [Gizmodo.com]
