It’s almost time to get into the holiday spirit … and check a few gifts off of your holiday list.

That’s because the West Allis Christkindlmarkt is back, offering attendees the opportunity to peruse market goods, purchase gifts and enjoy a smorgasbord of food and drink from local purveyors.

The traditional European-style Christmas market is scheduled to take place Dec. 3-4 at the West Allis Farmers Market, 6501 W. National Ave. Hours will be 4 to 9 p.m. on Dec. 3 and noon to 4 p.m. on Dec. 4.

The market is free and open to the public and will feature over 50 food-based retailers (from Milwaukee Pretzel Co. and Corvina Wine Co. to Rushing Waters and Underground Meats), over 20 local artisan craft vendors and five food trucks, including favorites like Flour Girl & Flame, Riley’s Good Dogs and more.  Beer will be provided by Westallion Brewing Co.
