As the spring winds blow in, there's something new brewing in Downtown Milwaukee, more specifically in the Westown neighborhood.

After a three-year hiatus prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Westown Farmers Market in Zeidler Union Square, 301 W. Michigan St., kicks off on Thursday, June 8 beginning at 11 a.m.

The reimagined market – now called the Westown Day Market –will feature a variety of lunch options, specialty vendors and live entertainment.

Attendees can expect to see a number of returning vendors from past markets, as well as a collection of new vendors.  On June 8, vendors will include:

  • Arty's Sweet Talk Cupcakes
  • Blossom Candle Co.
  • Bunny's Bite
  • Buzzy Bees Honey
  • Chilwaukee
  • Corazoncito Style’s Boutique
  • Falafel Guys
  • Frankie's Restaurant
  • Hot Box Pizza
  • Karol's Kitchen
  • The Ladle Lady
  • Little Havana Express
  • Lopez Bakery and Restaurant
  • Marco Pollo
  • Mazorca Corn
  • Milwaukee Public Library
  • Slide Gourmet Potato Chips
  • Tootsie's Teas
  • Tots on the Street
  • Wisconsin Meat & Sausage Co.

The Day Market will also feature performances from a wide variety of local musicians.  Performances will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Performances will include:

  • Aug. 10: Mathew Haeffel
  • Aug. 24: Michael Tynker Tierney

The 2023 Westown Day Market will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. two Thursdays a month from June through September.  Market dates are June 8 and 22, July 13 and 27, Aug. 10 and 24 and Sept. 7 and 21.
