Hang 'em: Triple Threat Milwaukee Flour Sack Towel Pack from "From Milwaukee With Love"
The first time I saw these flour sack towels I couldn't help but smile -- which meant I had to have them. The three pack comes with one cocktail themed, one pork and one cheese and sausage towel. You can get them (and many other great Milwaukee products) locally "From Milwaukee With Love" here -- also keep an eye out for them at events around town such as the Buy Local Fair coming up. -- Carolynn Buser
Open with it: Kitchen Ace Can Opener
I am done with cheap can openers that break and leave super sharp edges. I am not willing to go so far as to buy an electric can opener – that seems entirely too '70s – but I am ready to throw down more than a few dollars for something that will actually allow me to open my garbanzo beans without swearing. -- Molly Snyder
Sip it: Triple Leaf Ginger Tea
I don't get headaches a lot, but when I do it seems like they hit like a linebacker going crazy. I've tried a lot of pain relievers -- and then someone told me about ginger. So I got some Triple Leaf Ginger Tea and what do you know. It not only tastes great, with a hint of spice and zip, but it does wonders for the headache. I've made it a regular drink and have cut down on my coffee and the headaches are fewer and much less severe. And if one shows up, ginger tea makes it disappear quickly. -- Dave Begel
I live in a small condo with hardwood and tile floors. It's not difficult to sweep and mop, but it's yet another chore to keep up with. Second on my "yeah right" Christmas list this year (behind a trip around the world) is the iClebo Arte robot vacuum. It doesn't just vacuum - it mops as it goes as well! It works on a timer, so it could be cleaning my floors while I work and back on it's charging station by the time I get home. A cleaner house to come home to and one less chore to do. Yes. Please. -- Nick Barth
Hang 'em: Mondo posters
There used to be an art to making a movie poster. There are a few nowadays that are original and impress, but for the most part, it’s just cobble some stars faces on a poster with a title and some explosions. Take the "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" poster, with the stars just walking, posing or … whatever the hell Scarlett Johansson’s supposed to be doing.
Luckily, Mondo makes awesome, unique and artistic posters, t-shirts and other merchandise that would look as good in a movie theater marquee as they would on a cinephile’s wall (preferably this cinephile’s wall in particular). The Austin-based print company makes a small number of artfully crafted pop cultural items a month – mostly movies, but beloved TV shows, toys and comics often get their eye-popping treatment as well.
Right now, my eye is currently on a poster for the terrific documentary "The Overnighters." Here’s the regular poster; here’s Mondo’s. I know which one gets my attention.
There is a catch; Mondo makes a very limited supply of each poster, so if you don’t act fast, it’ll be gone, and you’ll be stuck merely having to look through the company’s archive, thinking of the one that got a way. Or ones, in my case. -- Matt Mueller
