The Wisconsin State Fair may have just wrapped up its very entertaining 2022 edition – but it's already looking ahead to 2023 as the late summer spectacular announced its dates for next year.
Surprise: It's in the late summer once again, coming back to Wisconsin State Fair Park from Aug. 3-13, 2023.
As the final night of the 2022 Wisconsin State Fair comes to a close, we thank you from the top of the WonderFair Wheel to the bottom of the Giant Slide! We will see you next year, August 3-13, for another unforgettable State Fair! pic.twitter.com/R2xugd7l0X — Wisconsin State Fair (@wistatefair) August 15, 2022
As for this year's edition, the past week-and-a-half brought all sorts of festive fun, freaky eats and classic traditions back into West Allis. The 2022 State Fair brought starry headlining acts like Nelly and Charlie Berens, stages upon stages of iconic local musicians playing all day and night, speedy carnival rides and even speedier racing pigs, beloved treats like cream puffs and fresh corn on the cob, new tenants like WurstBar and Camp Bar, and – of course – crazy Fair culinary creations old and new, from immediate cult favorite cheese curd tacos to a jalapeño cheddar bratwurst wrapped in pretzel wrapped in salt and jalapeño slices. And we're not even going to talk about the gummi bear brat monstrosity.
It's another memorable year in the books – and best of all, next year's go-around is now already marked on the calendar. Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more summer festival updates – whether for this summer or next – and here's to seeing everyone again back down at the Wisconsin State Fair in 2023.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
