When Radiohead plays its American dates this spring and summer, there won't be a new disc in shops. But front man Thom Yorke will release his solo disc, "The Eraser," on Xl Recordings on July 11.

The disc, produced by Radiohead knobsman Nigel Godrich, has nine original Yorke songs. The band is scheduled to resume work on its new disc this year with a projected release date of 2007.
