It wasn't that long ago when the Green Bay Packers were an NFL doormat and a franchise that was a punching bag for its rivals 90 miles south. Perhaps its fitting that head coach Mike McCarthy was given a contract extension during "Bears week" as his leadership is one of the reasons the Packers have remained in the NFL elite for 22 years.
