California guitarist, singer and songwriter Dave Alvin has one of the most impressive resumes in American music. He's been a key element in The Blasters and The Knitters and has even been a member of The Gun Club, The Flesh Eaters and X. We got a chance to ask Alvin a few questions, so we talked about his new record, how he writes and records, The Blasters and about his Monday, July 4 performance in Milwaukee at Shank Hall.
