The Brass Tap and 84South mall owners Cobalt Partners have teamed up to create The Lokal Beer Garden in Greenfield, which opens Thursday at 4 p.m.

The new beer garden, with an 8,000-square-foot open lawn space, a food truck park and a 10,000-square-foot tent will operate at the corner of 84th Street and Layton Avenue, Thursdays-Sundays, through Nov. 1.

An indoor/outdoor food, beverage and entertainment area, called The Lokal, has been suggested for that corner of the mall and the beer garden may be a step in that direction.

Operated by Brass Tap, which is located nearby at 78th and Layton, the beer garden will have more than 40 craft beers as well as live music, trivia and karaoke. Bring a folding chair!

The garden kicks off today from 4 until 9 p.m. with a focus on Eagle Park Brewing, which is brewing a special beer for the garden. The Lokal Crusher is a mango wheat beer, and it will be featured alongside other Eagle Park brews today, including Major Tom, Circuits & Wires and Tangerine Loop Station.

Mazorca, Pop’s Kettle Corn and Heavenly Roasted Nuts will be on site selling noshes.

On Friday Jesse Voelker performs live from 7 until 10 p.m. and food will be available from Double B’se, Mazorca Taco, Pop’s Kettle Corn and Heavenly Roasted Nuts.

Open 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Saturday, there will be music bingo at 7. Food from Mazorca, Heavenly Roasted Nuts and Pop’s Kettle Corn. On Sunday, the garden will be open 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. and there will be music and games and the same food options as Saturday.
