If all goes according to plan, Adam and Wioletta Bartoszek will open Wioletta’s Polish Market, 3955 S. Howell Ave., on Tuesday, March 1.

The building is across the street from Pat's Niche Pub & Grub, 3956 N. Howell Ave.

Wioletta, who worked at grocery stores in Poland, will manage the shop that will feature a large Polish deli as well as stock Polish groceries, household items, candy, greeting cards and gifts.

"We will have all of the basic Polish foods but also expand into other authetic Polish items and decor," says Adam.

Wioletta's will also specialize in catering and to-go platters. Eventually, they plan to open an on-site bakery and sell paczkis.

"We have a lot of space in here, so bakery operations are deinfitely something we're planning for the future," says Adam.

Milwaukee is also home to A & J Polish Deli, 1215 W. Lincoln Ave., and C & R Market, 3001 S. 9th St.

Wioletta’s Polish Market plans to be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
