The Argo, a new live entertainment hall and events venue, has been officially approved to move forward in Whitefish Bay. The plans to revitalize the historical Fox Bay Theater, 334 E. Silver Spring Dr., were officially approved by the Village Board on Monday evening. Based on the approval, The Argo is slated to open sometime in late 2025.

In turn, first-look design renderings were released that further illustrate plans for the theater, a bar and restaurant and a second floor event space.

In keeping with the reveal, The Argo announced several partnerships that offer insights into how the new venue will proceed. For instance Knitting Factory Entertainment, an independent concert promoter and talent buying company, will be instrumental in the operation of the live entertainment venue. Eventbrite and Reens Marketing Group will also be involved in the entertainment portion.

The Argo also announced that they will be working with Chef Dan Jacobs of EsterEv and DanDan as their exclusive food and beverage partner. That means that elevated diner style fare served planned for the The Argo’s eatery will be influenced by the James Beard Award nominee and “Top Chef” runner-up.

Dan is thrilled to bring his local pride and serious culinary chops to The Argo where he will continue to create unforgettable dining experiences for Milwaukeeans in all new ways. More details will be available about the food and beverage programs for the new venue this fall.

As noted in the renderings, Milwaukee’s own THREE SIXTY will also be involved in the design for The Argo, including the ballroom, the bar and restaurant.

As part of this milestone, The Argo is also announcing a free summer/fall concert series at Ivanhoe Plaza stacked with local talent.  The first concert takes place on Friday, June 20.
