Until someone finally finds that fountain of youth, we're all gonna get older. And guess what? That's a pretty great privilege!

And because staying active, vibrant and fun later in life is important to many of us, Capri Communities will host its first "Enjoy Life Active Aging Symposium."

This symposium will address with humor and optimism ways for older folks to live life to the fullest, try new things, make new friends and enjoy life — whatever that means to them.

The free event is open to all and takes place Wednesday, June 21, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Brookfield Conference Center, 325 S. Moorland Rd. Concessions will be available throughout the day.

Comedian and travel show host John McGivern will serve as the keynote speaker and numerous "enjoy life" exhibitors will be available all day on the exhibit floor. The event also includes activities such as pickleball, line dancing and performances by the Dancing Grannies.

Breakout sessions include "How To Thrive As A Solo Ager," "What's Going On In Today's Financial World," "Sex and Intimacy After 60," gardening and travel tips and more.

The goal of the symposium is simple: encourage guests to choose what interests them, try it, and if it's a match, spend more time doing it.
