The suspense is over for the Admrials.
The wait ends Thursday.
Grand Rapids ousted Manitoba in the Western Conference Semifinal series that ended Tuesday. The Griffins, who had a higher point total during the regular season, will host the Admirals in a best-of-seven conference final series beginning Thursday at Van Andel Arena.
The Admirals will host games Monday and next Wednesday (May 22) at the Bradley Center. Game 5, if necessary, will be held May 26 in Grand Rapids. Game 6, if necessary, will be the following night in Milwaukee. If the series requires, Game 7 will be played May 29 at Grand Rapids.
Milwaukee advanced to the conference finals by topping the Iowa Stars, 4-3, in division semifinals before sweeping Houston, 4-0, in the semis.
Grand Rapids took out the Toronto Marlies, 4-1, in their first round and advanced to face Milwaukee by topping the Manitoba Moose, 4-3, to win the North Division Crown.
