Snuggle up with some holiday cheer as OnMilwaukee shares stories of everything merry and bright in the spirit of the season.

The OnMilwaukee Ho Ho Holiday Guide is brought to you by Educators Credit Union, Harley-Davidson Museum and MolsonCoors

Amilinda, 315 E. Wisconsin Ave.,  will be hosting a very special holiday bake sale featuring treats from four accomplished pastry chefs on Sunday, Dec. 10 from noon to 4 p.m.

Participating chefs include Nick Hoover of Ardent; Sarah Keller of Matilda Bakehouse,  Melissa Tantillo of NaKorn Urban Thai (Evanston, Illinois), and Samantha Sandrin of Midwest Sad.

During the event, a cash bar will be available so guests can purchase specialty drinks to enjoy while perusing delicious goods for purchase. All proceeds from the bake sale will support the pastry chefs growing businesses.

The selection of baked goods will include the following offerings.

Nick Hoover 

  • Pear and bay laurel croissants ($6.50 each)
  • Boxes of handmade candies ($18 each). Each box will feature one of six flavors:
    • 20th Century bonbons featuring dark chocolate shell with lemon-juniper and thyme ganache layered with prosecco pate de fruit);
    • Milk chocolate with salty pumpkin caramel and pepita-cardamom brittle;
    • Dark chocolate with nocino ganache and a cinnamon-walnut brittle;
    • Dark chocolate with fig and balsamic caramel and a rosemary shortbread (gluten-free);
    • Strawberry and port wine cordials in white chocolate with a cocoa sable (gluten free); and
    • Rose Turkish delight.

Matilda Bakehouse

  • Orange cardamon vanilla sugar cookies, hand-decorated with fresh orange royal icing in various designs 
    • Build a Snowman 5 Cookie Set ($8 each) 
    • Magical Snowstorm 5 Cookie Set ($8 each) 
    • Tree Farm 3 Cookie Set ($8 each)
    • Giant Santa Cookie ($6 each) 
    • Giant Snowflake Cookie ($6 each) 
  • Ginger Snap Party featuring a dozen spicy ginger snap friends ready to party, ($8 per bag)
  • Large Gingerbread Star Cookie with candied ginger and fresh orange ($6 each) 
  • The Mike Cookie with brown butter, sweet corn, and black pepper ($5 each)  
  • Peppermint Hot Chocolate French Macarons featuring milk chocolate ganache, marshmallow and crushed peppermint, (two pack for $5)
  • Six-inch Caramelized Pineapple Upside Down Cake with half-pint of rum whip ($12 each; serves one to four)
  • Six-inch Toasted Coconut Cream Pie made with flaky all-butter crust, coconut cream, vanilla whip and toasted coconut curls ($12 each; serves one to four)

Melissa Tantillo

  • Bottles of homemade natural vanilla extract ($12 each)
  • Gift boxes of homemade marshmallows ($15 each)
  • Gift boxes of assorted holiday cookies ($18 each)
  • Cranberry, Citrus & Ginger Panna Cotta with Koval Cranberry Gin topped with sparkling cranberry granita, ($8 each)

Midwest Sad

  • French Macarons in flavors including vanilla bean, peppermint chocolate, fluffernutter, eggnog, mimosa and carrot cake ($2.25 each)
  • Biscotti in flavors including lavender white chocolate and cranberry orange ($4 each)
  • Chocolate Potato Chip Cookie with salty potato chips and chocolate chips ($6 each)
  • Butterscotch Blondie featuring a brown butter base with candied ginger ($6 each)
  • Triple Chocolate Brownie made with dark, milk and white chocolate ($6 each)
  • Red Velvet Cake featuring cream cheese frosting and candied raspberries ($8 each)
  • Champagne Sponge Cake featuring vanilla champagne sponge, Italian meringue cookies, buttercream and strawberry sprinkle ($10 each)
  • Pistachio Blitz featuring pistachio cake, pistachio butter and chocolate ganache ($10 each)
