This morning, the Milwaukee Public Market announced that Anodyne Coffee will move into a space on the southwest corner of the market, across from Margarita Paradise and The Spice House.

According to operation and communication manager Paul Schwartz, Anodyne will replace of the spot's current tenant, Cedarburg Coffee Roastery, which will move out of the market at the end of the month. 

A date has not yet been officially set for the new cafe, but a grand opening announcement is expected in the next few weeks. However, Schwartz noted that Anodyne will begin serving coffee in the market beginning in early August, even before an official opening.

"Having been big fans of the Milwaukee Public Market for years, all of us at Anodyne are honored to have the opportunity to join the group of businesses that have made the market such a wonderful destination," said Anodyne Coffee owner Matthew McClutchy.

"We believe the public market is a tremendous asset to Milwaukee and hope to add to its vibrancy and continued success for many years to come."

The new Milwaukee Public Market location marks yet another step in Anodyne's growth in the local spotlight – as well as national, considering its wholesale operation reaches across nine states – since opening its first shop on Brady Street in 1999. The local coffee company now has  a cafe in Walkers Point and Bay View, as well as ties with many of Milwaukee's hottest restaurants, including La Merenda, Odd Duck, c. 1880 and Comet Cafe.
