After a wickedly successful first year, Argren Faire, in partnership with Black Husky Brewing, will take place Saturday, Sept. 13, from noon to 8 p.m. The outdoor Ren Faire-esque festival is on Locust Street, between Humboldt Avenue and Fratney Street.

The free, family-friendly fun includes firkin tapping, Live Action Role Playing (LARP), "authors' alley," costume contest, aluminum pour, beard contest, fire dancing and more.

"The goal of Argren Faire is to ... create an interactive, community experience for our friends and found family in Riverwest," says Deb Heim, event organizer and fantasy author. "We invite anyone who loves a good Ren Faire!”

Participants can meet fantasy and historical fiction authors signing their books, browse vendors' booths, grab a bite to eat from food trucks and enjoy a Black Husky beer or two.
