Every Tuesday at 8 p.m., The Social transforms into a den of guilty -- and not-so-guilty -- pleasures. Billed as “Bad Girls' Night Out,” the event features chair massage, tarot card readings, self-defense instruction from Neutral Ground Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo and the opportunity to shop for trinkets from The Tool Shed, an erotic women’s boutique, and “gag cards” from Shag, a design-your-own T-shirt shop.

During the event, DJ Miss Erika Jean and DJ Emily “Spector” provide the sounds, and “shot boys” sling the potent potables including bottomless glasses of champagne and pomegranate martinis.

There isn’t a cover charge, but services and toys are extra. Prices, however, are fair, with massages going for $5 and $10 tarot card readings.

Kevin Sloan, owner of The Social, says he wanted to launch an event in his bar / restaurant that didn’t have to do with food or drinking.

“I liked the idea of having a multi-layered night, and thought this would be something a little different,” says Sloan.
