Another big show has been added to this summer's concert calendar, this time at Fiserv Forum.
On Tuesday morning, it was announced that two-time Grammy Award winner Billy Strings is set to play the arena on Friday, August 8th, as part of his extensive headline tour.
Strings, known for his dynamic blend of bluegrass with psych influences, continues to be one of the biggest rising names in live music. His most recent studio album, "Highway Prayers" dropped this past fall and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales Chart, marking the first time in 22 years that a bluegrass album claimed the top spot.
Since releasing his debut album in 2017, Strings has picked up several major awards. He earned Best Bluegrass Album at the 63rd Grammy Awards and was named Artist of the Year at the 2023 and 2022 Americana Music Awards. This will be his fourth Milwaukee appearance, last playing at Riverside Theater in 2021.
Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday, March 28, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. Presale tickets from Fiserv Forum and Spotify will be available on Wednesday and Thursday morning at 10 a.m. as well.
There are tons of concerts happening throughout Milwaukee almost nightly, so stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more concert announcements and check out our monthly music guide to see where you can check out a gig tonight.
