Bayshore officially has a new eatery. And it's right around the corner from bowling, movies and more.

Buchanans the U.K.-inspired pub offering classic fare with a Midwestern twist will officially open its doors  in the Rotunda at 5740 Bayshore Dr.  for dinner service on Friday, Nov. 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. with regular dining hours beginning at noon on Saturday, Nov. 18.

Operated by ACX Entertainment, the pub offers an extensive selection of whiskey, craft beers and bourbon, as well as a menu of classic cocktails. Guests are invited to take a seat at the bar to cheer on their favorite sports teams or take a seat in a cozy booth in the dining room to partake in their menu filled with dishes inspired by Scotland, Ireland and Great Britain.

Highlights include appetizers like smoked salmon dip; oysters with green apple and shallot mignonette; Scotch eggs and fried, smoked wings served with guests’ choice of Buffalo, Scotch glaze, sweet garlic teriyaki or bourbon BBQ sauces. There are also a variety of soups and salads including a baby wedge and Wisconsin beer cheese soup.

Handheld options include a fried chicken sandwich featuring Dill, buffalo-brined thighs, irish curry mayo, pickles and shredded lettuce on a sourdough bun; a pastrami reuben and a short rib melt with white cheddar, horseradish-honey mustard and ale onions on dark rye.

Meanwhile, entrees include items like beef and stout pie; broiled cod with herb butter, mushy peas, crispy fingerling potatoes and dill cream; and beer-battered fish and chips.

ACX Entertainment also operates an 11-lane bowling alley, a 40-game arcade and ACX Cinemas featuring six movie screens along with luxury heated recliners. In addition to Buchanan’s, they operate Backlot Pizza + Kitchen, which offers yet another option for before or after movies or shopping.

“We’re delighted to welcome Buchanan’s to the diverse lineup of dining experiences offered at Bayshore,” said Mary Mokwa, senior general manager at Bayshore. “Buchanan’s is a one-of-a-kind dining experience that our guests will truly enjoy.”

Beginning Nov. 18, Buchanan's hours will be Monday from noon to 9 p.m.; Tuesday through Thursday from noon to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from noon to midnight and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.
