The Colectivo cafe at 2211 N. Prospect Ave., which closed on Jan. 17, is expected to reopen soon.

According to co-owner Paul Miller, the cafe will reopen the first week in October.

Despite the fact that the cafe will still be closed, The Pabst Theater Group is hosting some concerts in the Back Room in September, including Fellow Kinsman, Sleepy Gaucho on Sept. 25, Ohmme X Deeper on the 26th and Courtney Marie Andrews on the 27th.

Ticketholders should not be confused, those shows are moving forward regardless of the status of the cafe.

Not long after the East Side location closed, Colectivo said that it would eventually reopen.

The Third Ward cafe, which closed in November, has already reopened.

"The only other cafe (still) closed is U.S. Bank (building, 777 E. Wisconsin Ave.)," said Miller. "We are waiting on the return of more office workers before opening."
