The inaugural Concert 4 MACC, a benefit event for Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (The MACC Fund), is next week. And, there are many new reasons to support the cause.
First, it's National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. This year, through a nationwide, collaborative effort known as Gold in September (G9) -- a Childhood Cancer Awareness Project -- the MACC Fund, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin are helping raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research. You can help!
Next, when you buy a Concert 4 MACC ticket, you get a FREE upper level ticket to the Milwaukee Bucks home opener.
Finally, you can get a $20 Uber credit. Uber's great and easy to use. Just download Uber and enter code CONCERT4MACC to receive a free first ride up to $20 in Milwaukee.
Cory Chisel and the Wandering Sons and Hugh Bob and the Hustle co-headling the Sept. 26 event. Los Colognes, from Nashville, will open the show at Turner Hall Ballroom in Downtown.
Proceeds from the event go to fight childhood cancer and blood disorders. The MACC Fund made headlines earlier this year when it topped the $50 million mark in contributions since its inception in 1976. In that time, the overall cure rate for childhood cancer has risen from 20 to 80 percent.
