Twenty local artists, designers, makers and engineers under the name FuzzPop Workshop joined forces to create a massive, immersive installation called Deep Lake Future.

Deep Lake Future is located inside Var Gallery 700 S. 5th St. Guests walk through the multi-room experience to explore a bizarre underwater Milwaukee after "The Great Floods" that produced new fantastical creatures, plants and technologies.

It's a Dr. Seussian dystopia and a beautiful bad dream.

"Deep Lake Future speculates about a fantastic future in which technology and biology have merged in unexpected ways and explores the impact of invasive species on the Great Lakes," says Daniel Murray, the founder and creative director of FuzzPop Workshop.

Deep Lake Future runs though the end of the year. Expect to spend about 30 minutes walking through the installation. The cost is $15 and reservations, although not required, are recommended.
