Your dog is very busy barking at birds, snoozing on pillows, sniffing grass, occasionally watching TV and being the light of your life so now's the time to pencil in Doggy Day before his/her calendar completely fills up.

Doggy Day, sponsored by Central Bark and Tito’s Handmade Vodka, takes place at Deer District on Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is  free and open to humans and their well-socialized, leashed dogs. (The organizers ask owners to refrain from retractable leashes and aversive collars.)

The third annual event will include 80 local vendors, food trucks, beverages, entertainment from DJ Gee-A, prizes and activities for furry friends and their humans to enjoy. Alley and DZ from Milwaukee's Kiss FM will emcee event.

Doggy Day is a benefit for Winston’s Wishes, a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization that supports dogs who are older and/or struggling in shelters.

Scratch twice if we'll see you there!
