Doughnuttery, a New York City franchise specializing in fresh mini doughnuts, is making its official Wisconsin debut in early June.

The kiosk, which will be located near J. Crew and Urban Outfitters on the lower level of  inside Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Rd., will offer a sneak peek to eager doughnut loving customers during their soft opening on Thursday, June 10. A grand opening is planned for Friday, June 11.

The Doughnuttery concept, established in 2012, has developed a reputation for its hot, freshly-made mini doughnuts, which derive their unique flavor from a variety of sugars and glazes. Options include standards like cinnamon sugar, along with more unique options like Spicy Rooster (spiked with Sriracha).

The sweet doughnuts are made-to-order and packaged in signature mini doughnut bags or pizza-style doughnut boxes. DIY Doughnut Kits, which allow fans to make and decorate hot, fresh doughnuts at home, will also be available.

The new location will be run by local entrepreneurs, Laura Martinez and Michael Karolewicz, who first experienced the mini doughnuts on a trip to New York City.

“As soon as we tasted these doughnuts in New York, we knew that we had to bring the idea back home with us,” they noted in a release on the opening. “[This] gives all of Milwaukee and the surrounding suburbs the chance to taste these unique tasting mini doughnuts.”
