Lately, I've been been keeping you apprised of the changes to the "Couples are boring..." mural on the North Water Street side of Humboldt Avenue bar Fink's. The most recent update was here.
Now, the blank wall has been replaced with the painted letters "HE." Closer examination reveals that more letters have been stenciled but not yet painted. The resulting sign will read "HELLO MILWAUKEE."
According to Fink's owner Scott Johnson, the mural will be the last ... for now.
"(We're) changing tack for the winter," he said via text. "Somehow I've had that jingle running through my head all summer.
"We change our minds/get inspiring ideas for slogan all the time. This is just a nice, simple and familiar place holder for the cold months. Something new will be coming in spring."
With that winter chill in the air, it seems safe to expect that while couples may be even more boring or at least bored while trapped inside, they may also do more boning.
