A taste of New Orleans popped up in Downtown Milwaukee this weekend when S’lush Daiquiri Bar and Event Space hosted a soft opening in its swanky new digs, 1110 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Dr.

S'lush, which is now open to the public, is a play on the words "slush" and "lush." Makes sense, because the main attractions are icy, sweet and potent daiquiris that come in a size large or a size larger.

"Oh, they'll get you where you want to go," says owner Tiana Razaa.

Guests can order a dacquiri off the menu like the "Slap Yo Mama," "Lit AF," "Entanglement," "Pink Panties" or create a signature mix of their own.

S'lush also has a full-kitchen and a menu featuring pasta (Fettuccini Alfredo, mac and cheese), seafood entrees (catfish fillet dinner, shrimp platter), sandwiches (Po Boys, Philly cheesesteaks), burgers, pizza (classic toppings; Cajun), appetizers (dirty rice rolls, fried green beans, onion rings), salads, desserts and more.

The space, which is also available for private parties and gatherings of all kinds, is divided into multiple sections. The main bar is a lively area with a choice of regular barstool seating or - get this – swings.

There's also a plush seating area with a glass wall overlooking the Milwaukee River and two stunning rooms for overflow on busy evenings and private events.

The walls are adorned with thousands of white roses, original art and pink neon signs illuminating quips like “do epic sh-t."

This is the second location for Razaa, who opened the first S’lush Daiquiri Bar in Kenosha in the summer of 2020. She says the concept has been so successful she decided to expand with a second location in Downtown Milwaukee.

“It's fun, it’s vibrant and who doesn’t like daiquiris?” says Razaa.
