Femmes, Folds play free gig

The Violent Femmes and Ben Folds will play a free pre-Summerfest gig on the Miller Lite Oasis, Saturday, May 27 at 5:30 p.m. The show is a celebration of the completion of the new Oasis stage on the Summerfest grounds.

The Violent Femmes and Ben Folds will play a free pre-Summerfest gig on the Miller Lite Oasis, Saturday, May 27 at 5:30 p.m. The show is a celebration of the completion of the new Oasis stage on the Summerfest grounds.

A slate of local opening acts will be announced shortly, according to a press release. Attendees 21 and up will also get a free Miller beer at the free but ticketed event. Tickets will be distributed via local retailers and radio stations, including WLUM (102.1 FM).
