Making stuff while drinking stuff is the new norm in Milwaukee. We've seen many art-project-focused bars open in the past few years from Splash Studio to Rec Room Craft Co., and soon, Glassnote Candle Bar.

Glassnote Candle Bar – a custom candle-making workshop with a full bar – will open this spring at 524 S. 2nd St. on the second floor of the building that currently houses Movida on the ground level.

Owner Kevin Goudzwaard is also the proprietor of the Milwaukee Candle Co. and he looks forward to bringing his passion for candles into a new arena.

"I can't wait to provide a space for people to make their own scented candles. Candles offer the power of scent-memory connection and I want to share that experience with others," says Goudzwaard.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for a First Look at Glassnote Candle Bar after it opens.
