Great Lakes Distillery’s production manager and distiller, Doug MacKenzie, and former Great Lakes Distillery employee, Jason Neu have applied for a trademark application for their future distillery Black Fawn Distilling Company.
MacKenzie, who has worked at Great Lakes, 616 W. Virginia St., since 2006, plans to remain employed at the Walker's Point-based distillery through the end of January 2015.
Black Fawn plans to produce whiskey, rum, brandy, vodka and liqueurs. Currently, the business does not have a location and is seeking investors.
