There’s another vendor to try at the 3rd Street Market Hall, 275 W. Wisconsin Ave. Greenhouse officially opened their doors this week at the Downtown food hall, serving up a menu of sandwiches and signature salads.

The concept, which focuses on healthy fresh ingredients, as well as vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options features a build-your-own salad bar (with small, medium and large options priced $8.95 to $12.95), along with numerous signature salads (from sesame ginger and pear pecan to Mediterranean inspired Cyprus salad, $10.95 each).

Sandwich options include deli-style sandwiches on toasted bread for $9.95. Options include the Night Club (turkey, chive cream cheese, tomato, red onion, romaine, sprouts) and Taste the Rainbow (sesame tofu spread, carrots, red onion, pumpkin seeds, cucumber, tomato, spring mix, avocado)

Grilled sandwiches are built on ciabatta for $10.95 and include options like a chicken artichoke melt (chicken, provolone, spinach, tomato, spinach artichoke spread); the Figure 8 (turkey, gouda, fig jam, green apple, arugula);  and a roasted veggie melt (swiss, cheddar, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, red onions, spinach, basil aioli).

Greenhouse also plans to add fresh pressed juice to the menu this summer.

“We’re bringing garden fresh to the heart of Milwaukee,” said General Manager, Jordan Wollin. “At Greenhouse, our desire to encourage healthy eating begins with high quality ingredients.”

Greenhouse joins a growing slate of tenants at the new Downtown food hall, which includes Dairyland (burgers, chicken sandwiches, frozen custard), Mid-Way Bakery (bakery, desserts, soups, salads, sandwiches), Amano Pan (breads, pizza), Hot Dish Pantry (pierogi, hot dish), Strega (appetizers, pastas, desserts) MaKE Waves (smoothies, juices, acai bowls) and Middle East Side.

Of course, there are still numerous vendors on the way, including the Strange Town Bottle Shop (natural wines, vegan grab and go items), Kawa 3rd Street (ramen, sushi), Dawg City (hot dogs, sausages), Anytime Arepas (Venezuelan arepas, desserts),  Supernova Coffee & Doughnuts (doughnuts, coffee), Paper Plane Pizza (pizza) and Kompali Tacos & Tortas.

3rd Street Market Hall is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
