Night one of the 2025 Harley-Davidson Homecoming festivities at Veterans Park has been cancelled, due to the threat of severe weather.
Friday night’s entertainment lineup was halted before Charles Wesley Godwin could take the stage. Hank Williams Jr. and Treaty Oak Revival were scheduled to follow. A green warning screen announcing a tornado watch and storms in the area appeared across all of the Veterans Park stages until it was eventually changed to a red notice of cancellation just after 6 p.m. An announcement over the PA from festival staff confirmed that the rest of the festival day had been cancelled.
An alert of the festival day cancellation was posted on the Harley-Davidson Homecoming website and social media alerts were made as well. The storm is set to bring high winds as well as thunder and lightning to the area of the park, which would be a tremendous safety hazard for thousands of fans attending the festival.
As of 7 p.m. on Friday night, all signs are that the Saturday portion of the two-day concert festival at Veterans Park will continue as planned. Here is the current schedule for the festival. Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for any potential changes to the festival schedule.
Update: According to Harley-Davidson Homecoming officials, all one-day Friday tickets purchased through Front Gate Tickets will receive a full refund and all two-day tickets purchased through Front Gate Tickets will get a 50% refund. The refund will be processed in as little as 30 days to the original method of payment.
