Featuring nonstop new locations and lots of fresh fashion finds, Hyde and Chic MKE should be your next shopping-spree stop.
Vanessa Beckett, a San Diego native, moved here with her husband two years ago. Wanting to bring a part of California to Milwaukee, as well as provide people year-round with warm-weather fashion options, Beckett decided to start Hyde and Chic MKE as a boutique on wheels. As of this spring, the mobile boutique could be found all across the southeastern part of the state.
In a spinoff of cow "hyde" to represent Wisconsin and "chic" to represent California, Hyde and Chic was born. I got a chance to visit Beckett recently at her new boutique location in the Third Ward, and it was full of cool finds.
From local recycled leather jewelry to hand-picked fashion merchandise straight from Los Angeles, this boutique has all you need without the hassle of a mall. For summer necessities, there are T-shirt dresses, maxi dresses, jean shorts, rompers and more.
For every $25 spent at Hyde and Chic MKE, 25 cents is donated to one of the rotating charities of the shopper's choice. Currently, donation options include the Hunger Task Force and Wisconsin Humane Society.
Oh, and Beckett's new baby boy, Bridger, joined us at the mobile boutique too!
You can book the boutique for private parties, fundraising events and more. Check out Hyde and Chic's Instagram for more information and updates on where this amazing boutique will be headed next. You can also head to the website here.
